COLOMBO -- Sri Lankan criminal investigators have identified a shell company allegedly used to siphon 2.5 million U.S. dollars from national treasury funds, law enforcement authorities announced on Monday.
The stolen funds were transferred to multiple bank accounts in two different states in the United States after the theft. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said that the funds were routed through a third-party entity called "Biz Solutions," an online business registration firm registered in the state of Delaware, the United States. MANILA -- The House of Representatives of the Philippines on Monday secured the required number of votes to impeach Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte. Articles of impeachment will be transmitted to the Senate for the trial.

ISLAMABAD -- At least 11 people, including women and children, were killed and five others critically injured after a passenger van plunged into a deep ravine in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, local rescue officials told Xinhua on Monday.
The accident occurred in the Swat district of the province on Sunday when the van was traveling from the tourist resort of Malam Jabba to Sair Telegram on a mountainous route, the officials said. (Pakistan-Van-Ravine) ■
