TEHRAN, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Iran has executed a man convicted of cooperation with the intelligence agencies of the United States and Israel, the Mizan news agency of the Iranian judiciary reported on Monday.
According to the report, the individual, identified as Erfan Shakourzadeh, established contacts with Israel's Mossad and the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency while working for one of Iran's key scientific centers.
The execution was carried out after judicial proceedings were completed and the Supreme Court upheld his death sentence, Mizan said without specifying the date of the execution. ■
