ISLAMABAD, May 11 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed and 20 others injured after a bus carrying wedding guests plunged into a ravine in Pakistan's southern Sindh province on Sunday, rescue officials said.
The accident occurred in Shikarpur district after the bus reportedly suffered a tire burst and veered off the road, a spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Sindh said.
According to rescue officials, around 50 passengers, including women, children, elderly people, as well as the bride and groom, were aboard the bus at the time of the accident.
The bodies of four victims, including a child, were recovered during the rescue operation, while the injured were provided first aid and shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, the spokesperson added. ■
