YANGON, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar exported 169,559 tons of rice and broken rice in the first month of the current fiscal year 2026-27, which began in April, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) on Friday.
The Southeast Asian country earned about 51 million U.S. dollars from the exports during the period, MRF Chairman U Ye Min Aung told Xinhua.
The rice exports in April of the current fiscal year were higher than those in the same period of the previous fiscal year, he said. ■
