ISLAMABAD, May 8 (Xinhua) -- At least seven people were killed and 23 others injured when a passenger coach plunged into a ravine in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, officials said Friday.
The accident occurred on Thursday in Jhal Magsi district when the coach overturned into a seasonal stream along the M-8 highway, a local police official told Xinhua.
District health officer Ali Khan Magsi told media the injured were taken to the hospital. Rescue officials said operations were hindered by a shortage of ambulances.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. ■
