BEIJING, May 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted Kermadec Islands Region at 0853 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 27.58 degrees south latitude and 175.82 degrees west longitude. ■
