ATHENS, May 6 (Xinhua) -- A forum on intercultural dialogue and mutual learning among civilizations to mark the 20th anniversary of the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership will be held here on Thursday.
The forum, themed "The Beauty of Harmony: Coexistence through Integration," will gather around 150 participants, including Chinese and Greek government officials, as well as representatives from media, cultural institutions, research organizations, and relevant enterprises. Participants will discuss how to draw on the wisdom of ancient civilizations to illuminate the future.
Guests from the two countries will exchange views on the historical legacy and contemporary practice of exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and Greek civilizations, as well as on strengthening the cultural and people-to-people foundation for improving global governance through dialogue among civilizations.
Participants will also unveil a photo exhibition marking the 20th anniversary of the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership.
A think tank report titled "The Theory of Cultural Empowerment: China's Cultural Consciousness in Marching Toward High-Quality Development" will be released during the event. An exhibition of cultural relics and art from China's Xinjiang will also be held.
The forum and related events are jointly hosted by Xinhua News Agency, the Chinese Embassy in Greece and the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia. Guests expressed hope that the forum will further strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and Greek civilizations, contribute wisdom to enhancing friendship between the two peoples, and promoting the continued deepening of the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership. ■
