BEIJING, May 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted the Peru-Ecuador border region at 1558 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 3.61 degrees south latitude and 80.63 degrees west longitude. ■
