JEDDAH, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia secured a narrow 1-0 victory over China in their Group B match at the 2026 AFC U17 Asian Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.

Keanu Senjaya scored the only goal in the 87th minute, earning his side three valuable points despite China enjoying more possession throughout the game.

China controlled the early stages and created several chances but failed to convert, as Indonesia's goalkeeper delivered a standout performance behind a well-organized defense.

The first half ended goalless. China continued to press after the break but lacked efficiency in front of goal. Senjaya eventually capitalized on a long pass, beat the offside trap and scored the decisive winner late in the match.

China will face Japan in its next group match on Saturday after Japan defeated Qatar 3-1 in the same group.
