JERUSALEM, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli military raised its alert level on Monday in the wake of the escalation in the Gulf, state-owned Kan TV News reported.
Civilian safety guidelines remained unchanged.
The move came after the United Arab Emirates said Iran attacked it with four missiles and a drone hit an oil facility.
Earlier on Monday, the Israeli military said in a statement that the state of emergency along its northern border with Lebanon has been extended until Thursday, citing a "situational assessment."
The measures, which restrict movement and activities in the area, were introduced due to ongoing fighting with Hezbollah despite a ceasefire. ■
