HANOI, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's consumer price index (CPI) in the first four months of 2026 rose 3.99 percent year on year, local media VnEconomy reported Tuesday, citing the National Statistics Office.

In April alone, CPI rose 0.84 percent from March and 5.46 percent compared with the same time last year, the report said.

During the four months, core inflation increased 3.89 percent year on year, according to the report.
