BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, May 5 (Xinhua) -- A senior Brunei government official has underscored the importance of enhancing connectivity, transparency, and efficiency across borders to reinforce ASEAN's position as a dynamic and integrated economic region.
Speaking at the meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Customs held on Tuesday near the capital, Muhammad Azizil Hakim Haji Brahim, acting controller of Brunei's Royal Customs and Excise Department, highlighted the need for closer regional cooperation.
Azizil Hakim stressed that customs administrations must remain adaptive, forward-looking, and resilient as they navigate evolving global challenges and uncertainties.
The meeting serves as a valuable platform for constructive dialogue and for developing impactful outcomes that will further advance ASEAN's shared objectives. ■
