SEOUL, May 4 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's Maritime Ministry said Monday that an explosion happened in the engine room of the Korean vessel reportedly attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier Monday, Yonhap News Agency reported that South Korea was verifying whether a South Korean-flagged vessel was attacked in the strait.
South Korea's foreign ministry said no casualties were reported in the possible attack, according to Yonhap. ■
