MOSCOW, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Russian state-owned energy giant Gazprom said Thursday its net profit rose by 7 percent year on year in 2025 to 1.31 trillion rubles (about 17.48 billion U.S. dollars).
Revenue fell by 9 percent to 9.77 trillion rubles, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization declined by 6 percent to 2.92 trillion rubles, the company said.
Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee Famil Sadygov attributed the profit growth partly to higher financial income linked to the revaluation of foreign currency debt amid a stronger ruble.
Gazprom's total debt edged up by 0.3 percent to 6.74 trillion rubles in 2025, remaining around the same level as in 2024. (1 Russian ruble = 0.013 U.S. dollar) ■
