JERUSALEM, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Israel's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that the Israeli Navy has detained 175 Gaza flotilla activists on more than 20 boats overnight near the Greek island of Crete, hundreds of nautical miles from Israel.
In a post on social media platform X, the ministry published a video showing some of the activists.
The flotilla, carrying humanitarian aid to Palestinians in war-battered Gaza, departed from Barcelona, Spain, on April 12, aiming to challenge the Israeli blockade. ■
