SANYA, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Sami Fail Al-Bulushi scored a hat-trick as Oman edged Saudi Arabia 5-4 after extra time in the semifinal of beach soccer at the Asian Beach Games here on Monday.
Oman will face Iran in Wednesday's final, after they beat Palestine 9-1 in the other semifinal.
The Saudis fought back from 3-1 down to make it 4-4 in the third period, forcing the game into an extra time, when Al-Bulushi finished his hat-trick with a bicycle kick.
"I am very happy because I helped my team to win, and I scored three goals in the game," said Al-Bulushi.
"I put three experienced players, including Bulushi on the court before the extra period. And my tactic worked," Oman coach Al-Thanawi Talib told Xinhua. ■
