MOSCOW, April 27 (Xinhua) -- An employee of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) was killed in a Ukrainian drone strike on the plant's transport facility, the plant said on Monday.
The strike targeted the grounds of the ZNPP transport workshop.
ZNPP Director of Communications Yevgenia Yashina told local media that the transport workshop where the fatal incident took place is situated in an industrial zone outside the plant's main operational perimeter.
"All attacks on the ZNPP pose a threat not only to local residents but also to broader regional security. Such strikes are an assault on human lives and the collective future," plant authorities said. ■
