KABUL, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation has signed three cooperation agreements with domestic and international donors to support returnee and internally displaced families, the ministry said on Sunday.

The deals, valued at about 2.9 million U.S. dollars, are expected to benefit 5,952 households and 82,616 displaced and returnee individuals through vocational training, small business support and urgent food distribution, said the ministry.

The ministry signed a separate cooperation agreement with the Norwegian Refugee Council to support thousands of returnee families two weeks ago.

Nearly 3 million Afghans reportedly have returned from abroad, particularly neighboring Pakistan and Iran, over the past year. The Afghan government has been distributing humanitarian aid and allocating land to help reintegrate the returnees.
