RIO DE JANEIRO, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Former Real Madrid and Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose scored a late equalizer as Bahia recovered from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Santos in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday.
Benjamin Rollheiser converted an early penalty and the Argentine winger doubled the visitors' lead with another well-taken spot kick on the stroke of halftime.
Luciano Juba pulled a goal back with a 76th-minute free kick before Willian Jose's bullet header put the hosts on level terms.
Santos was again without star forward Neymar, who has been limited to 10 games across all competitions this year due to injury.
The result at Salvador's Fonte Nova Arena leaves Bahia with 21 points, seven ahead of Santos.
In Rio de Janeiro, a late goal from Alexandro Bernabei handed Internacional a 2-2 draw at Botafogo. Danilo and Cristian Medina scored either side of Johan Carbonero's 59th-minute strike before Bernabei fired in from 20 yards after the hosts failed to deal with a corner.
And in Belem, a first-half goal from Ecuadorian winger Keny Arroyo gave Cruzeiro a 1-0 win over Remo. ■
