SYDNEY, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in Western Australia (WA) have issued a warning after four people, including three children, were attacked by native wild dogs in a remote national park.
The WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) said in a statement on Thursday night that a four-year-old girl was bitten on the leg by a dingo at a campground in the Karijini National Park, over 1,000 km north of Perth, on Wednesday.
The girl and her mother, who was also bitten while trying to protect her, were hospitalized for treatment, the DBCA said.
At the same location, a six-year-old boy was hospitalized after being bitten on the neck and arm by a dingo on Monday, and a six-year-old girl was approached by an aggressive dingo on Saturday that nipped at her clothing.
The incidents prompted the WA Parks and Wildlife Service to warn anyone traveling to the national park to be on alert and take precautions. ■
