BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Brunei is expected to continue experiencing hot and dry weather until the end of this week, despite a brief rainfall forecast, according to the Brunei Meteorological Department on Wednesday.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the department said the country is currently in the inter-monsoon phase, a seasonal transition period that typically persists until the end of May 2026.
The department noted that Brunei has not recorded any significant rainfall since April 8. As of now, total rainfall for April stands at 65.7 millimeters, approximately 70 percent lower than the normal monthly average of 242 millimeters. ■
