PARIS, April 22 (Xinhua) -- A French soldier, who was seriously wounded last week in southern Lebanon, died Wednesday morning "as a result of his injuries," French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday on social platform X.
This is the second French soldier killed in last Saturday's attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which France has attributed to Hezbollah fighters. Two other French soldiers were wounded. ■
