MADRID, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte's place in Spain's World Cup squad could be in doubt after he suffered a hamstring injury in his side's 1-0 home win over Osasuna on Tuesday night.
Laporte was forced off midway through the second half with the problem and was replaced by Dani Vivian, who had not started after suffering a knock in training earlier in the week.
Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde said after the game that the defender had suffered a "strain" but declined to comment on how long he could be sidelined.
