CHANGCHUN, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Beishufang, a Xinhua Bookstore outlet, is housed in a protected historic site on the central axis of Changchun. After a renovation in 2025, the building now preserves its original yellow brick walls, arched windows, and other antique features.

The bookstore has since been integrated with multiple functions, including book sales, cultural and creative product exhibitions, a cafe, and more. Open to the public for free, this historic building has been transformed into a "people's study room."
