LAUSANNE, April 21 (Xinhua) -- The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) unveiled Tuesday the official game schedule for the Women's Softball World Cup Group Stage, the first qualification event of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The group stage will be played in Prague of the Czech Republic on June 16-20, Lima of Peru on July 14-18 and Oklahoma City of the United States on September 12-16.
Each group will feature a four-day, 15-game round-robin format, with the top four teams advancing to the Play-Offs. The top two teams will face each other for a direct spot in the Finals 2027, while the loser will play the winner of the third-place vs fourth-place matchup for the second qualification spot. In total, six teams will qualify for the Finals, joined by two wild cards.
The 2027 Women's World Cup Finals will be held in Redcliffe, Australia, on April 5-11.
