VIENNA, April 20 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and seven others injured after a trolleybus crashed into a supermarket in the city of Salzburg on Monday, local media reported.
The accident occurred around midday, when the trolleybus struck the glass facade and entrance area of the store.
According to the Red Cross, one person died at the scene. Two people were seriously injured and taken to hospital, while five others sustained minor injuries.
Authorities said an additional 25 to 30 people may have been involved in the incident, including passengers, pedestrians and customers inside the store.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. ■
