ISLAMABAD, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday spoke with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi and discussed ceasefire efforts and regional stability, the Foreign Office said.
Dar stressed the need for continued dialogue and early engagement to resolve pending issues through diplomatic channels and promote peace in the region.
Both sides agreed to remain closely engaged, said the office.
This was the second contact between the two foreign ministers in less than 24 hours, reflecting intensified diplomatic efforts as Pakistan continues to support peaceful resolution of regional tensions. ■
