KIEV, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed on Saturday after a man opened fire on the streets of the Ukrainian capital, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Following the shooting, the shooter took people hostage in a nearby supermarket, said Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, adding that the killer was eliminated during the arrest.
Earlier, Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that 10 others, including a child, were injured in the shooting. ■
