GAZA -- The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced Saturday that it has suspended its operations at a water station east of Gaza City after the Israeli army killed two drivers contracted by the organization.
In a press statement, the organization said "UNICEF is outraged by the killing of two drivers of trucks contracted by UNICEF to provide clean water to families in the Gaza Strip." (Gaza Strip-Hamas-Israel)

BEIRUT -- Deputy head of Hezbollah's political council Mahmoud Qomati said on Saturday that his group was not concerned by Lebanon's planned direct talks with Israel, labeling them "weak" and "a failure."
Qomati said that if the Lebanese leadership insists on pursuing negotiations or closer engagement with Israel, "they are on one path and we are on another," contrasting what he described as a path of "concession" with Hezbollah's "resistance" approach. (Lebanon-Israel-Ceasefire)

SARAJEVO -- The 27th International Economy Fair Mostar concluded on Saturday in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH), in the efforts to diversify and modernize regional economy.
It's one of the major trade fairs in the Western Balkans. Running from April 14 to 18, this year's fair covered a wide range of sectors including energy, tourism, agriculture and emerging technologies, bringing together around 900 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions. (BiH-Sarajevo)

MANILA -- Seventy-eight Filipinos previously detained in Myanmar for immigration-related offenses were released, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Saturday.
In a statement on Saturday, the DFA said the Filipinos had been trafficked for work in scam centers and were serving sentences for illegal entry and residency. (Philippines-DFA-Myanmar) ■
