KABUL, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Five commuters lost their lives and another was injured after their car veered off the road in eastern Afghanistan's Wardak province on Friday, a statement of the provincial police office said.
Blaming reckless driving for the deadly mishap, the statement added that the driver lost control due to carelessness in Saydabad district early this morning, and as a result, five travelers were killed at the scene and another was seriously injured.
Earlier, a similar accident claimed three lives and injured 11 others in the northern Badakhshan province on Tuesday. ■
