KABUL, April 16 (Xinhua) -- A man was killed and five others sustained injuries as their house collapsed following rains and windstorms in eastern Afghanistan's Laghman province on Thursday, provincial police spokesman Mohammad Yunus Yusufzai said.
The incident took place in Dawlat Shah district early Thursday morning, the official confirmed without giving further details.
Nearly 200 people had been killed and more than 250 others injured due to rains and flooding since March 25 in Afghanistan.
However, the weather has changed, and major parts of the country, including the capital city Kabul, have been enjoying sunshine since Monday. ■
