QUITO, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Ecuador and Saudi Arabia will meet in a friendly next month as both sides step up preparations for the FIFA World Cup, the Ecuadorian Football Federation said on Tuesday.
The match will be played in New Jersey on May 30, less than two weeks before the start of football's showpiece tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Ecuador will play its last warm-up match against Guatemala in Columbus, Ohio, on June 7.
Sebastian Beccacece's side will begin its World Cup campaign against Cote d'Ivoire on June 14 before meeting Curacao and Germany in Group E.
Saudi Arabia will play its first match against Uruguay on June 15 and will also face Spain and Cabo Verde in Group H. ■
