GAZA, April 14 (Xinhua) -- At least four Palestinians were killed and several others injured, some critically, on Tuesday evening in an Israeli airstrike that targeted an area west of Gaza City, Palestinian medical sources said.
The sources said the casualties were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital after an Israeli drone struck a barracks and nearby power generators inside the Beach refugee camp, resulting in deaths and injuries at the scene.
Eyewitnesses said a drone fired at least one missile toward the targeted site, causing a loud explosion and sparking a fire, while ambulance crews rushed to the area and evacuated the wounded amid panic among residents.
The incident came hours after four Palestinians, including a child, were killed in another Israeli airstrike that hit a vehicle in Gaza City, according to medical sources.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli side regarding the two incidents. ■
