UNITED NATIONS, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The UN Security Council on Tuesday adopted a resolution to extend the ban on the illicit export of petroleum, including crude oil and refined petroleum products, from Libya.
Resolution 2819, which won the unanimous support of the 15-member council, re-authorizes the measures contained in Resolution 2146 of March 2014 related to the illicit export of petroleum from Libya, for 15 months, until Aug. 1, 2027.
The resolution also extends the mandate of the Panel of Experts assisting the Libya Sanctions Committee until Aug. 15, 2027. ■
