KIEV, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The Russian strikes targeting the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine on Tuesday killed five people and injured 24, Ukraine's regional authorities reported.
The wounded sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, lacerations and fractures, said the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service said that the Russian rocket attack hit an infrastructure facility, sparking a fire which was later extinguished.
The Ukrainian Air Force issued a missile alert for Dnipro shortly before the attack. It said Tuesday on Telegram that the Russian side had launched four missiles and 129 drones in its strikes on Ukraine since Monday evening.
Ukraine's air defense units downed or neutralized one missile and 114 drones, it added. ■
