YEREVAN, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Armenia saw total foreign investment swell 88 percent year-on-year to 2.23 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, Arka news agency quoted Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan as saying on Monday.
Papoyan said total foreign investment reached 2.23 billion dollars in January-December 2025, compared with 1.18 billion dollars in 2024. Direct investment stood at 605 million dollars, up from 131.6 million dollars a year earlier.
Portfolio investment totaled 564.8 million dollars versus 106.1 million dollars in 2024, while other investment amounted to 1.06 billion dollars, compared with 947.3 million dollars previously, he said.
The minister said the largest net investment inflows into Armenia's real sector came from the United States, Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Switzerland and France. ■
