BUENOS AIRES, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Facundo Colidio and Sebastian Driussi scored as River Plate continued its strong run with a 2-0 away win over Racing in Argentina's Apertura tournament on Sunday.

The visitors took the lead in the 33rd minute when Colidio finished clinically on the counterattack after a pass from Marcos Acuna.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men with 10 minutes remaining after former Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo was shown a red card for violent conduct.

Driussi sealed the result in stoppage time, slotting home from 12 yards after Juan Cruz Meza intercepted an errant defensive pass.

River has now won five straight matches and sits second in the Group B standings with 26 points, three behind leader Independiente Rivadavia. Racing is ninth in the 15-team group, eight points further back.

In other Argentine top-flight matches on Sunday, Atletico Tucuman drew 0-0 at home to Tigre, Huracan won 3-1 at home to Central, Newell's was held to a goalless home draw by San Lorenzo, and Platense drew 1-1 at home to Gimnasia Mendoza.
