MANAMA, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain's Foreign Ministry summoned on Monday the charge d'affaires of the Iraqi Embassy to Bahrain.
The ministry conveyed to him Bahrain's unequivocal condemnation and strong denunciation of the continued hostile drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory against the kingdom and Gulf Cooperation Council member states, the Bahrain News Agency reported.
The ministry's Director General of Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, delivered a formal note of protest to the Iraqi Charge d'Affaires in this regard.
He underscored Iraq's urgent and responsible obligation to address these threats and attacks in full accordance with relevant international and regional laws and conventions.
He further affirmed that the kingdom reserves its full right to take all necessary precautions and measures to safeguard its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents. ■
