TEHRAN, April 11 (Xinhua) -- In-person negotiations between Iranian and U.S. technical teams in Pakistan have ended, with the two sides exchanging written texts, Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency reported Saturday.
The talks by technical teams followed a meeting between senior officials, the report said. It added that after two rounds of discussions, a third round of Iran-U.S. talks is scheduled for Saturday night.
Separately, the semi-official Mehr News Agency reported that outstanding differences remain between the two sides. Citing a source close to the negotiating team, it said "unreasonable demands" are still preventing the establishment of a desired framework.
The report added that the Iranian team is insisting on its demands and conditions to "consolidate the military achievements it has made."
Delegations from Iran and the United States are in Islamabad for talks aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East following a ceasefire reached earlier this week after more a month of fighting. ■
