RIYADH, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Energy facilities and the East-West pipeline affected by recent attacks have recovered and restored operational capacity, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy said on social media on Sunday.
In a statement, the ministry announced the success of operational and technical efforts to restore full pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, amounting to approximately 7 million barrels per day, and to recover the affected volumes from Manifa field production of around 300,000 barrels per day.
Regarding the Khurais field, the ministry noted that work is still underway to restore full production capacity and that updates will be announced upon completion.
The ministry said Thursday that operations at several key energy facilities, including the Manifa oil production facility and a pumping station on the East-West Pipeline, were suspended following recent attacks. ■
