Under the framework of the Health Silk Road, China has expanded international medical cooperation through training programs, professional exchanges and joint research, helping improve healthcare services and benefit more people worldwide. At Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital, medical professionals from many countries, especially Belt and Road partners, come for further training and exchange.
Among them is Nepali doctor Sadhana Acharya Upadhyaya, who received advanced training at the hospital from 2023 to 2025 and plans to apply what she learned in Nepal. She described the experience as "truly transformative, both clinically and professionally," highlighting the hospital's precision-driven, high-efficiency system and strong team-based collaboration. Through such cooperation, medical knowledge, technology and experience are shared across borders, enabling more people to benefit from improved healthcare services.
