BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will pay an official visit to China from Saturday to Wednesday.
Born in February 1972 in Madrid, Spain, Sanchez holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration.
In July 2014, he became general secretary of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party. He assumed the office of prime minister in June 2018, and was re-elected twice in January 2020 and November 2023.
Sanchez is married and has two daughters. ■
