ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday talked over the phone with his Lebanese counterpart Nawaf Salam to discuss Israeli aggression against Lebanon, according to the Prime Minister's Office.
In the phone call, the Pakistani prime minister expressed condolences over the loss of thousands of lives in the hostilities in Lebanon, saying Pakistan is engaged in sincere efforts for regional peace, the office said. (Pakistan-Lebanon)

SEOUL -- One person went missing on Thursday after a submarine fire at South Korea's shipyard, according to Yonhap news agency.
The fire broke out on a Navy submarine undergoing maintenance at the shipyard of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, some 310 km southeast of the capital Seoul, at about 1:58 p.m. local time. (South Korea-Submarine Fire)

SEOUL -- South Korea will resume a tourist rail service to and from Dorasan Station, the country's northernmost train station, on Friday, the Unification Ministry said Thursday on its official website.
According to the ministry, the service, suspended for about six and a half years, will allow visitors to travel to the station near the inter-Korean border, a symbolic site of past cooperation between South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
