TOKYO, April 9 (Xinhua) -- A second-hand luxury store in Tokyo was broken into on Wednesday, with items valued at around 127 million yen (around 800,000 U.S. dollars) stolen, local media reported.

The break-in took place at around 3:10 a.m. local time at a shop in Shibuya Ward with no injuries reported. About 80 bags, two watches, and five accessories were taken, Kyodo News reported, citing local police.

Police were alerted by a security company after the store's alarm was triggered. Upon arrival, officers found the store's shutter had been forced open and display cases smashed, but the suspects had already fled the scene.

Surveillance camera footage and witness accounts indicated that at least three masked individuals carried out the burglary before fleeing in a white van, the report said.
