BEIJING, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Yin Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with a delegation led by Georges-Louis Bouchez, president of Belgium's French-speaking Reformist Movement, in Beijing on Wednesday.
Noting that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belgium, Yin, also secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, said China is willing to work with Belgium to fully implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen inter-party exchanges and subnational cooperation, and promote greater progress in China-Belgium and China-EU relations.
Bouchez, also a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, said Belgium supports free trade and advocates multilateralism, adding that Belgium is willing to strengthen exchanges and dialogue with China and to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the EU and China. ■
