JERUSALEM, April 7 (Xinhua) -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Tuesday night that increased missile fire toward Israeli territory is possible "in the coming hours."
The warning followed a situation assessment tied to the expiration of a U.S. ultimatum to Iran, set for Wednesday at 3 a.m. Israel time (0000 GMT).
In a statement, the IDF urged the public to "remain vigilant, alert, and act responsibly, while continuing to follow the Home Front Command's instructions, which are updated from time to time."
It added that further updates would be issued if the situation assessment changes. ■
