KATHMANDU, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Nepal's Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal is set to embark on his first foreign trip since assuming office, with Mauritius as his destination, said an official on Tuesday.
Khanal will leave for the island nation on Thursday to attend the ninth Indian Ocean Conference set to begin on April 10, Lok Bahadur Poudel Chhetri, spokesperson at the foreign ministry, told Xinhua.
Khanal will be the first minister in the incumbent Balendra Shah government to travel abroad since its formation on March 27. ■
