BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- China recorded an average of 2.26 million inbound and outbound trips per day during the recent Qingming Festival holiday, up 9.1 percent year on year, the National Immigration Administration (NIA) said on Tuesday.
During the three-day holiday that began on April 4, Chinese border inspection agencies handled nearly 6.78 million cross-border trips, according to the administration.
The number of such trips made by foreigners reached 843,000, up 20.9 percent compared with the same period in 2025, the NIA said, adding that 319,000 inbound foreigners entered under visa-exemption policies, an increase of 30.7 percent year on year. ■
