ISLAMABAD, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Foreign Office on Monday said that diplomatic efforts for de-escalation and peace regarding tensions in the Middle East are "ongoing," according to official Pakistan TV.
According to the report, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi declined to confirm or deny media reports that Islamabad had proposed a framework to help end the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
"We do not comment on these individual, specific incidents," said the spokesman.
Earlier media reports suggested that Pakistan had shared a proposal aimed at securing a ceasefire and initiating broader negotiations, but no official confirmation has been issued. ■
