BANGKOK, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Thailand will tighten control on crude palm oil exports, requiring exporters to obtain prior written approval in a move aimed at protecting domestic supply amid rising energy export demand, according to a Royal Gazette notice.
The control measure will take effect on April 7 and will remain in force for one year.
Thailand, the world's third-largest palm oil producer, is projected to produce 3.94 million tonnes of crude palm oil in 2026, according to the Office of Agricultural Economics. ■
